AnnieWear's goal is to give back portions of our proceeds to animal rescues who are overwhelmed with the growing number of dogs and cats who need shelter and more importantly, forever families. The individuals who dedicate their lives and efforts to make this happen deserve our gratitude and support. Our lives have been enriched by Katie and now, Annie, because of the efforts of Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Sanctuary.
The following list and links begin our heartfelt journey to provide the financial and promotional support to those people and their organizations who make a difference. It is their hands-on efforts that save lives and continue to enrich ours for the remarkable animals and pets who cross their paths.
We would like to learn about the people and organizations you've found who nurture and promote the respect for animals we all embrace. Email us and tell us about them. We can't wait to hear from you!
Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc.
No Golden Retriever is ever turned away from Almost Heaven because of age or health. Each Golden is considered a valued family member. They accept senior or "special needs" Goldens from shelters, owner give-ups, and other rescues. It is a refuge for those Golden Retrievers who other may be labeled as "hard to adopt" or "unadoptable" by ordinary standards. Mixed Goldens are accepted when space permits and if they basically look and act like Goldens. We've driven the 3 hours from Annapolis twice to adopt two of the most wonderful dogs: Katie, a fiesty 12 year old Golden and this past January, Annie, our sweet little Golden mix.
Thank you to Carol and Skip for all they do to keep finding room in their rescue for yet another dog who needs saving. Annie thanks you too!
We learned about this unique pair from a very kind woman named Ann. She has been an avid supporter of animals and animal resuces, including Tom and Atticus. We're especially pleased to add this organization in honor of Ann, to whom we are truly grateful for enabling us to use the anniewear.com web address. Thanks again, Ann.
Petfinder is an on-line, searchable database of animals that need homes. It is also a directory of over 12,500 animal shelters and adoption organizations across the USA, Canada and Mexico. Organizations maintain their own home pages and available pet database.
Since 1995, it is the mission of this site to promote, educate and enable pet adoption using technology so that all adoptable pets avoid euthanasia. Their site provides great counsel to anyone looking to adopt and understanding the many considerations about which breed is best for you and your family in addition to training and other critical information. We couldn't be more on board.
